Posted - 03/19/2004 : 3:23:40 PM All, rightty-Just opening up a discussion about classic piecing and their influence on the new and mid-generation writers. Who put up your favorite classic burners on the northside, Hall of Fame/wall of sin and the southwest/southsides? I personally, like the Midwest masters piece by the Feds at the hall of fame and a small but cool ass piece from GTC crew from 18th and pilsen. Of course there more-what do you think?

TRIXSTER INFUENCED THE FEDS AND TAKE WAS A BIG INFULENCE ON THE MAD CREW. I MET DENZ AND SLANG IN 85 AND LOOK AT THE WORK THEY HAVE DONE AFTERWARDS. JUST TRYING TO PUT SOME PIONEERS OUT THERE. Posted - 01/24/2005 : 11:10:38 AM Yo Chumbly\Meniz,
Yeah, Burns! Home of Mr. Seejut, the blind squirrel teacher! Home of the segregated (boys/girls) lunchrooms, which were actually just the basement. Go Warriors! Hey, you have any pictures of any graff from that era? I gots to get my hands on some of that FCA stuff! |

Yeah, I went to Burns also. I graduated from there in 86. If I remember correctly, they(Fun City Artists) used to do alot of stuff in the alleys on 25th and both Millard and Lawndale. Damn, I wish I had some of those old skool pictures. I used to walk down those alleys every day on my way to school. For me personally, the movie Beat Street (which I saw as a double feature with the movie 'Breakin' at the Atlantic), and FCA's stuff back in the day is what turned my on to graff. Wow, that was like 84-86, around there. Ha ha, I still remember running around sometimes and my shoe falling off cause I was wearing those loose ass, THICK, neon laces on my Payless Shoes fake ass imitation Pumas.

Hey, Chumbly, I was wondering if you had any pictures from those old Squad one pieces on the southwest. I was curious about something too, I remember that you guys had a battle with either FCA or squad one. My old school partners think it was Fun city artists, while I think it was Squad one-come to think of it-I was certain both were the same crew-Knoweldege me,hommie!
