We sure had some good times back in the days!  When I remember back to the summers around '86 and '87, it seems like I was with you, Flee and Fluke every day. I still got some dedications you tagged in my book with the NARCS crew we tried to start with Chase. Can believe some of the stuff he ended up doing?

Blue just came to my crib, he's involved in the medical field.
Learning the skill of operating on people. He also does consulting for pharmacuetical companies, along with selling of new products coming out. The bank roll flowing for him. New crib, new car, new woman, flipping identities. Always down to kick it, hooking up with the rats, or hooking us up with the rats. |

| hey its about time i found some good chicago graff forums..anyway...I dint kno much about the history about UAC i just gotta sey thanks cuz UAC was the crew that inspired me to start...wen i was like 11 i saw IAGO put up UAC and thats when i started noticing the writin on the walls...but then i met SAD (dropped uac) and he told me telly started uac..and now im just amazed cuz i didnt think the history behind the crew was was to this extent..big ups to uac... |

Sorry to any of the brothers I may have forgotten. 20 years is a long time.
Wow! It's really amazing to see how many people are up on their history. Waz up FINE 39! It's your boy Telly n***a! Was up CHA and EGORism. First off, UAC crew was started by Dizz in 1985. If you remember, DIZZY also started PUMA Crew. Dizz one was the first Cheif of UAC. For the fist year and a half only me, FLEE and FLUKE were down with UAC. It wasn't about untill 1986 or 1987 when we started recruiting because other n***az wanted to get down with us because we were making so much f**kin' noise. The fist writers we hooked up with were TRANE, SHAGGY, FINE 39 and n***az from OTR crew.
In 1986 we had a hook-up with CAR crew becuse of SNEAK. This was right before VANDAL got busted and made all the papers as public enemy number one in graffiti. Sneak and his little brother HOPE used to come to our hood and chill with us. That's when Me and FLEE were on CAR and SNEAK was on UAC. After SNEAK got busted, we hooked up with FINE 39 and RCA. The hook-up was called NARCS. Notorious Artists Rockin' Crazy Style. Maybe a year or two later, we hooked-up with UNION to form the DOUBLE U CREWS. At this time, CAR was still going strong but with new members (except for scarce). A war broke out between UAC, UNION, and some SIMON CITY ROYALs, against CAR, TEAMSTERS, X-MEN and some Dz. Gangs and graffiti were very closely related in those days. Anyway, that was probably the most violent graffiti battle Chicago has ever seen. Everyone was picking sides all the way down to street gang members. Dudes from both sides were beat down, maced, bricked, and given pumkin heads with brass knucles. Some members brung guns into the beef but luckily no one was ever killed.
During this battle, if you were a writer, it was dangerous to ride the North side Howard line by your self, because if you weren't with us, you were against us, and you were getting smashed. A lot of innocent writers got smashed during that beef. This is when I became president of UAC. Dizz had been gone for a while already and we decided as a crew that we needed leadership. That beef could have been disasterous for the whole graffiti sub-culture. I'm glad that it ended without the loss of life.
And for the guy that said UAC sound like a bite, BITE my ass. UAC originally stood for Up And Coming. We didn't know anything about New York Graffiti writers back in 1985. We were all kids from the hood. Do you really think we gave a rat's ass about what was happening in New York? UAC is an original crew, created by an original n***a, the likes of which you'll never see again. Stop dick holding New York. Chicago is its own city with its own history and its own players. Do you honestly think me and all these other writers that were bombing pre-1984 were looking to New York for crew names to bite and styles to copy? Maybe you were, but we were kids of the ghetto creating a new sub-culture at that moment in history. It was a movement started by minoriy kids, for minority kids in the inner-city. With the help of graffiti godfathers like Nick Salsa, Stane, P.LEE, WARP, TRIXTER and crews like ABC, CTA, TCP, MPC, CAR and CTA we created something new. Something original. If you would quit dick holding New York and stop trying to look at everything from a New York perspective, you would see that. Or maybe you just weren't there so you wouldn'd understand. |

ok..first of all i would like 2 give my regards and respect 2 all tha real UAC brothas..without them history would never reach a new level as it is now...wussup Telly Tell..it's that one and only Skee i also agree and it is truly correct to say that UAC is the illest and always be the illest crew in Chicago of all time...
If we are not great ourselves we must be part of something so great thats why UAC is truly the greatest.... If you dissagree then eat my sh*tAnd to skerok sorry to say i probably have been writting skee longer than you so get urself a new name that fits ur profile with all do respect homie.... |
