graffiti been legal i don't think it would have had the same impact as it has been since graff was invented just cause of been underground n only u n other writers to know your identity n plus the main thing about it is running from the law

Doesn't make sense, they could legalize it on public property, but private property is private property, so it would still be illegal...

Well its something that will NEVER be legal
there's always that individual that will have something bad to
say about it and is also the one that will go against it

Widget got it right. :D

But really it's a fantasy land question. It just opens up to many never gonna happen possibilities. In reality it would probably just ruin graff... a million toys and every ones DOO-DOO-BROWN gettin' gone over... But at least there wouldn't be a buff...

I agree with that one, and it wouldn't be exciting or a rush to dip off and bust a tag or throwie. Graff life will be like blah... Ha!

True that the buff is KINDA nice, becaue there is always fresh walls to paint, but it's usually a little too swift for me. Like if you get a scribe up on the CTA windows and its just in the plastic, that DOO-DOO-BROWN will MAYBE rock for like... a week, tops. Or in some spots a throwie will be gone before you can flick it. The buff leads to more aggressive painting, hitting more spots and hitting more frequently, but it also takes away from doing more complicated pieces, why would you do one crazy burner if its just gonna get buffed the next day? When instead you could do like... 3 or 4 throwies and at least 1 will stay up for a while?

Just thinking out loud...

all I can say is do ya thing and don't get caught. The law is getting hardier on writers. Just make a name for yourself and ppl will still remember you if you know how to socialize well. Im on a vacation til my court day comes up and ill be back to battle king capone once again. Ha!

I tend to believe that -painting- is the goal. Legal or illegal, the idea is that after something gets painted once it gets set into motion. If a gallery gets painted once its going to give more people the chance to paint that (or other) galleries. If a vigin gets doodooed, she's gonna get turned into a slut.. eventually. The game is painting and unifying the underground if you ask me. I wanna see us EVERYWHERE.
